11 months old!

I can't believe we're only 4 weeks away from the big O-N-E! It's amazing to think that a year ago today I was on maternity leave, not-so-patiently waiting for our little bundle of joy to make his entrance into this world. Today, I watched him play in a sandbox and eat some popcorn for the first time (not at the same time, of course). It's just an incredible thing, I tell ya'!

Anyway, we had a really nice day today. First off, it was absolutely gorgeous weather outside! Timothy slept in until 9:15 this morning, and when he got up Billy went to play basketball for a couple of hours while Timothy and I hung out and got the laundry started. When Billy got home, we had lunch and then he and Timothy went out for a little drive while I got started on some stuff I needed to do around the house. When they got home, Timothy napped for a little while and then he got up and we went to the park. And yes, the Superbowl was on, but Billy was more interested in hanging out and playing with us than watching it. He's the best daddy in the world!

We had a lot of fun at the park. Timothy went on the swings, down a slide with daddy, on a little fire engine ride-on, and as I mentioned above, he got to play in the sandbox for the first time. He LOVED it! When I put him down, he immediately started scooping and throwing the sand (see the first video) and then he promptly tried to eat a little pine cone. After the sandbox, we put him on this little alligator ride-on, and he went nuts (see the second video)!

The walk home turned into a bit of a safari, as we first had a little cat follow us for about half a block, and then we saw a wild turkey in the front yard of a house on our street (if you look at the middle of the second picture below, in front of the tree, you can see it). Odd!

All in all, we had a fun day (even if we did come home to watch the rest of the Superbowl)!
