Hangin' out with Gapa Pisto

My dad was here a few weekends ago, and he and Timothy had a fantastic time. The weather was beautiful, and they pretty much played outside the whole weekend. Grandpa even put up a swing for him in the back yard, and they got to share a popsicle, too.

An art-eest is born

Timothy is showing a lot of interest in "mommy's camera" and taking pictures. Behold some of his work! I think he could have a real future in this... heehee!

A day at the beach

We attended the 6th Annual Timmy Dowell Classic this year. It's a memorial/surf competition for Billy's cousin, Timothy, after whom our Timothy is named. Timothy had a great time playing in the sand, but the water wasn't really his thing. I'm pretty sure he gets that from me. :)

Mickey Mouse Cubba-House!

We got to take Timothy to Disneyland again a couple of weekends ago, and he had SO much fun. the last time we went (for Billy's birthday in November) he didn't really know any of the characters, so while it was fun, it wasn't all that relevant to him. This time around, he knew the characters from watching the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ("Cubba-House), so he was REALLY excited to go and see his "friends" in person. We decided to only go to California Adventure this time around because it has a lot more age-appropriate rides, and it worked out really well.

The ferris wheel was fun:

But the merry-go-round was a REALLY big hit. He rode it several times:

He also got to meet several friends like Brother Bear (he had no idea who these guys were):

He was surprisingly shy with Goofy:

And he took a minute to warm up to Mickey and Pluto, but all was well in the end:

With so much excitement, he ended up taking a two-hour nap in his stroller!

And he got to enjoy a Mickey-shaped treat (he was disturbingly eager to eat Mickey's face... hehe):

All in all, it was a great day!

"Come back here!"

It's a pity we didn't get him on video the first time he did this. This one's good, too, but the first time went on much longer and was more enthusiastic. ;)
