Timothy has started calling me "mommy". Not "mama", or "up", or "moh?". Mommy. That's me!!! I'm the mommy! Who knew that one little word could change my whole identity in such a beautifully profound way?
The first time he said it, and every time I've heard it since, my heart just swells to bursting. Sort of like the Grinch. You know, at the end of the story...
"And what happened then...?
Well...in Who-ville they say
That the Grinch's small heart
Grew three sizes that day!"
I'm his mommy. No one else but me.

I'm gonna get you!!
Feelin' Hot Hot Hot
So, the weather in Sacramento has been unseasonably cool this month, but it's finally started to heat up. It was pretty warm in the house when we got home today, so we let little man run around in his diaper for a while before putting on his jammies. His hair was doing this "dippity-do" thing (as Diane would say) in the front, and he totally looked like a Kewpie doll. Heehee!
(And yes, that is The Real Housewives of New Jersey on in the background of the last picture. It's a guilty pleasure!)

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!
We got to go to a River Cats game (the local AAA team) with Grandpa Jay and Grandma Peggy a couple of weekends ago. They had a suite, and the weather was just gorgeous. We had a great time, and while I'm not sure that Timothy knew what all the fuss was about, he seemed to enjoy the atmosphere. Of course, he wore his costu... er... uniform. Hehe.
After the game, we stopped by a park that is geared towards little ones Timothy's size. He had a blast climbing on the playstructure and trying to get the three bigger boys who were there to talk to him. And there was lots of fun with papa, too, of course!
